Baby-Led Weaning Delights: Easy Banana Oatmeal Pancakes for Little Eaters

As someone who can't cook, I know these pancakes are simple and quick to make and allow you to eat breakfast with your little one, making meal times family time. ❤️


Our little man loves them and they are perfect for him to be able to self feed. They are a great way to introduce play and textures into feeding.

Ingredients

50g Oats

100g Banana 🍌

1 Egg 🥚

Squeeze of Peanut Butter (optional) 🥜

Extra option: add maple syrup to a separate pancake to make it a little sweeter, for mum or dad's breakfast. 🤤


Timings


5 minutes of prep and 5-10 minutes of cooking time

Ingredients can make up to 8 small pancakes, or 3-4 adult-sized pancakes


Instructions


Step 1 - Mash the banana before adding to a bowl with the oats


Step 2 - Crack the egg and combine in the bowl with the oats and banana, add in a teaspoon of peanut butter (optional)


Step 3 - Heat oil in a large frying pan. Add a portion of the mixture to the pan and fry until golden, remember to flip them over to fry the other side.


Enjoy - pancakes are no longer a weekend treat! 🥞
